We now have to fast and go to Mass for Soother’s birthday?

Did I miss a Council?

i have a dr appt today at 11 and have to fast. black coffee just does not cut it. i think it’s inhumane to have an appt that late and require fasting. going to tell her about the host and ask if that screwed it up.

I doubt that one little wafer would skew your results that much, but I’m not sure exactly what she is looking for. Shouldn’t have a great effect on blood sugar or cholesterol.

With apologies to John Skelton:

The Obama Regime on a frolic,
In an effort to wax symbolic,
Asserted claims hyperbolic,
To conceal its performance shambolic,
While Benghazi continued to rollick.

I hope nothing messed up your blood work but I have been told like some others here - nothing but a small amount of water when fasting for blood work. I have been told I can take any meds required, but no food at all and nothing else to drink. I don’t drink my coffee black but would like to know when you ask your doctor. I would think there could be the same amount of sugar added to any meds that might be in the communion wafer so it might not make any difference.

Wasn’t it Three Dog Night That put out the hit record “The Road To Shambolic”?

She said it was fine. I’ve always been told black coffee was fine by the dr and Paula also. I don’t drink it black either but waiting this long I would def have a headache with no caffeine at all.

I just got back from the woods in the fog-it is just now lifting-I like the muffled sounds and the way the animals just appear out of the mist. Now I’m waiting for a fellow sub, to discuss trading a bit of work-we are short of cash, but need a few things done to our houses to sell them and buy/build cabins more suited to relying on natural resources-less expensive and readily available to those who know how to live a more primitive lifestyle.

The reason that the economy
Is shambolic and a disgrace
Is having a lot of miscreants
Who lie and fall from grace

Within months of being elected
But they seldom get voted out-
Proving their supporters imbibe
Their koolaid with never a doubt

I wonder what would happen if
Someone simply took it away-
Awakened from addictive stupor
What would the brain-dead say?
