What you said is so true ... in a twisted, horrible, I-don’t-want-it-to-be-true-even-though-it-is way. I’m even sorry to acknowledge it.

I’m going to take a shower. It won’t help, but it will help me forget for a moment.

On a side note, and in accord with what you said, can you imagine how well Sandra would fare were she to be placed in Tahrir Square in Cairo during a demonstration? She would validate everything the Muslim Brotherhood believes about the west. And, afterwards, she would only wonder why what happened, happened to her.

I’ve always wondered how intelligent, well educated people can be so stupid.

What we call "intelligent" usually just amounts to being articulate, able to process abstract thoughts, and remember them. It doesn't mean having good judgment (as you've noticed.)
