I’m deep frying some pickles (BOGO at Publix). Usually I use bread and butter chips and drain them in a colander for an hour or so.
From there into a little baggie with some flour in it for a shaking then into the egg bath, followed by a good dredging in panko.
I’ve been frying almost everything in a cast iron skillet on my grill so as to not smell up my house, and it works fine for something like this. I fry the pickles in shortening.
Once they’re done - back to the strainer on some paper towels and then into some dipping sauce - usually ranch. Once I start eating them, it’s pretty much all over.
