imagine you just spent 5 Boyd Bucks, which you earned through hard work and good behavior, on stickers and stuff.
Then the very next day you have a bathroom emergency and not allowed to go because you don’t have the 2 “bucks”.
You don’t have them, not because you were a bad kid, but because you spent them on trinkets. Now you have to be humiliated in front of the whole class who get to watch you pee your pants!
Where is the incentive to keep being a good kid??
Remember this happened to me in the late 70’s, in the SAME school dstrict!!
I would not have cared for the “bucks” back then and even though the word was not yet in my vocabulary my attitude would have been f*** it.
