If Boehner plays his cards right, he’ll return to Minority Leader in two years. A lot more golf time. Won’t have the pressure, but still the perks.
Obama and crew just demonstrated how good of a ground game they really have. Knowing how many fewer voters will participate in 2014 will give his “machine” an advantage.
I think that would work with the exception of being able to borrow to finance a war. That is the only reason I’d want our country in debt. To protect it.
Well there’s a reason why someone came up with the saying “the poor are always with us”
The percentage of poor in the US is just about the same as it was before the great society.
I think Ryan at least is attempting to come up with ideas to create an environment where people who want to take advantage of the opportunities afforded by our way of life can do so. Hopefully we will be able to grow the middle class that way.
There will always be a segment of any society that cannot or will not embrace the motivation to succeed. And there will always be the Democratic party who needs to keep a certain percentage of the population poor and on the liberal voting plantation.
