RIP Dave Brubeck. I’m mentally humming one of your tunes as I type.

I was privileged sing with my high school choir and our local philharmonic orchestra way back in 1969 in a performance of “ A Light In the Wilderness”. I still have my autographed copy of the oratorio that we used in practice. He was an unbelievable talent. RIP, Dave Brubeck.

Who’s that big blonde you’re talking to?
She has a touch of Tuesday Weld, no?

If I could bring back Mozart and/or Bach and show them this, amid the wonderment, I’ll bet I’d find some humility in them.

Got to see the Quartet at Arizona State U back in the late 1960s---I lay on the wall-to-wall in the living room next to the speakers for hours after school in the 60s listening to Take Five. What a legend.
