BUENOS AIRES -- Actor Sean Penn made a surprise appearance yesterday in Bolivia as he attended a candlelight vigil for the health of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who is currently in Cuba undergoing his fourth cancer surgery.

The event attracted Chavez supporters as well as Bolivian officials, and took place in a diplomatic location in La Paz. Penn joined Venezuelan ambassador Crisbeylee Gonzalez and took the stage wearing a Venezuelan flag jacket, according to a report by EFE.

“Thank you, Sean,” said Gonzalez, “for joining us and for wanting to be here. We know President Chavez is a good friend of yours, and you didn’t hesitate one second about coming here with us to this vigil."

“He’s one of the most important forces we’ve had on this planet,” said Penn. “And I’ll wish him nothing but that great strength he has shown over and over again. I do it in love, and I do it in gratitude.

“I just want to say, from my very American point of view, of my friend President Chavez: It is only possible to be so inspiring as he is, as a two-way street. And he would say that his inspiration is the people.”

What is wrong with Sean Penn??

Oh yes, he has the freedom to say such idiotic things because he lives in the United States.

“The only Robin Wright movie I liked was Forrest Gump. That was an incredibly great movie”

It was indeed. Even as just a lesson in history, it was great; and then there was everything else—the emotion, relationships, sense of duty between brothers in arms in war. One of the best movies ever.

Maybe the jerk will stay there. I am sure he can make a lot more money there than here in our terrible, evil capitalist system.

On second thought, I hope some patriotic observers go to Venezuela soon so that they can report back to us on the political and economic disaster Obamussolini has planned for us.

The thing to understand is that Sean Penn is a Communist who thinks he is a Democratic freedom fighter. In other words Penn believes that what you and I call Communism is actually Democracy and what we call Democracy is actually Fascism. See, you and I are blind to the big lie, maaaan! No one will ever convince him otherwise. He learned it from his father Leo Penn, a closet Hollywood Communist from way back.

On an interesting note - Google Leo Penn’s Wiki page and marvel at how brief and scrubbed clean it is. Just rumors and unfounded accusations - a victim of the Blacklist. No confirmation at all about his Communist proclivities.

“Begging the question, can a wise or godly man embrace socialism?”

In case that isn’t a rhetorical question, I’ll answer: NO! Not only NO, but HELL NO!

I know I clicked “Reply”, but I find I’m utterly without words.

On Sunday, I had the honor of speaking with a husband (pastor) and wife (doctor) from Cuba who were visiting our fellowship to talk about life there, and how difficult it was for Christians to practice their faith. They have nothing but contempt for people like Penn and Michael Moore, who suck up to tyrants. Radical chic, indeed.

It was heartening to hear them begin their interview by saying that Michael Moore (that Marxist tub of goo) was a liar and that his “documentary” about Cuban health care was a complete lie.

Penn should thank God that he has the freedom to be a sycophant of one of the worst tyrants of the modern era. I doubt he’d have the opportunity to exercise the freedom of dissent in Venezuela or Cuba. At least more than once.
