NFL legend Dick Butkus on Wednesday did not express enthusiasm for the idea of banning kickoffs from professional football, but he did not totally reject the proposal either.
CNSNews.com asked him what he thought of it.
“Well, it’s just the sign of the times,” said Butkus. “I guess the game is really changing. If they have statistics, which they claim they do, that a lot of concussions happen on the kickoff—I mean, you’re taking away one of the most exciting parts of the game,” Butkus told CNSNews.com in an interview Wednesday. …
“They claim that, what, 30 percent of the concussions are on kickoffs. And it’s kind of obvious, when you can get some speed up,” said Butkus. …

The XFL had a no fair catch rule. You either caught it and ran, or you let the kick hit the ground. There was no waiving for a fair catch. Now that was just begging to get somebody leveled.

The NFL is the new GM, IBM, Xerox, etc. They are now nothing but an organization doing nothing but managing an organization.
GM forgot they built cars. IBM forgot they build computers and software. Xerox forgot they were technologically advanced and handed their products to Jobs and Gates for free.
Sears, JCP, Kmart, etc (Walmart is next to follow this trend of entropy) forgot they were retailers.
The NFL has now forgot it’s a game. At this rate the cheerleaders will be wearing pads and the players the skirts. Let’s just turn it into flag football.

Its worse than that.........they can not play chase......they can not play tag (except two fingers on the shoulder only), when they use the swing they can not twist.....

No, the NFL commissioners started this garbage a few years ago by allowing female announcers into the players' locker rooms (yeah, like they'd let guys into the Dallas Cowgirls Locker room to interview them, right!). And then it continued into all these other wussifying phases.
Don’t worry. Give the liberal scum a few years and they will call for an outright ban on football. This is par for the course for these types - banning kickoffs and/or football is unAmerican, which is to be expected from liberal wimps.
You will stop leading with your head pretty fast.
