Actually, it is.

We have a pittie that would kill you...with his tail and tongue. He is a great big love monkey.

He’s 90 lbs of muscle and our 3 lb Chihuahua absolutely rules the Pit.

I mounted a chain saw onto a Roomba. It’s real cute and plays well with everyone... as long as no one turns on the switch.

So did my friend Doug. Daisy would flop over on her back, with her tongue lolling out, as soon as she saw me, cuz she knew she was gonna get a tummy rub. One day Doug came home from softball, and was standing in the living room talking on the phone. Daisy attacked, latching on to his thigh. He had to kill her with his softball bat. He was bleeding profusely! Luckily, the friend he was on the phone with, called 911 as soon as he heard Doug start screaming. Paramedics told Doug he would have bled out in another one/two minutes if they hadn’t gotten there when they did.

So,,,, good luck with your “love monkey.”

I disagree!
Pitbull can go off at anytime. You never know what will trip them off! They may be all sweet and lovely this very minute, but in the next minute they can become a raging murdering terror!

Yeah, it is in the training and raising.

By nature they love people. Don’t you love a dog that size that follows you around and wants to be a lap dog?

My daughter works with a rescue group and she fosters (mostly) pitties while finding them homes. She’s got a real sweetheart right now (Miss Frankie). I’m not the dog owner type or I’d probably take her.

Any FReeper in the greater Louisville, KY area that likes dogs should go here:

I have been very impressed with the care and training these dogs get from this group. They are very careful to only adopt out dogs that have been thoroughly vetted, with all medical stuff done. And they also are *very* careful to check out the potential owners. Usually they do a test weekend with the interested party. The new owners have to sign an agreement that they will not sell or give the dog away & can bring the dog back if they feel it is not working out.

If I were interested in a dog, I’d probably start with this organization.
