Slow-motion replay shows the kid brother falling into an opening where he’s standing, so that he isn’t crushed by the shelves.
Looks like the bookshelf fell on one of those kids. Likely didn’t hurt him all that bad, but it hurt a lot.
It also shows him preparing to be hit both by positioning himself just right and by putting his hands over his crotch before the hit.
Germans usually recover quickly
It was somewhat ‘staged’ as they say.. The kid intentionally backed hard into the book case.

Not only that, he fell exactly parallel to the bookcase and tucked his hands in. Not a normal reaction to someone not expecting it to fall.
The end was cut...this used to be a commercial about something like insurance or whatever.
