Hospitals that have high traffic of druggies, gunshots, etc. (inner city hospitals) have armed cops in the emergency room.
I know - my wife works at one, and it's standard practice.
Arming a trained teacher is the only sensible way to protect a school, short of armed police presence.
Although there are teachers at my wife’s school that I wouldn’t trust with a pair of pointy scissors, she and I discussed it last night and casually identified a few who could be trusted to carry responsibly; including the ex Army Captain and the ex-IDF volunteer.
For $400 for the Magna-trigger I like the idea very much. Would it be an onerous requirement to make those who work in current “No Gun Zones” use a Magna-trigger? I was thinking teachers, but someone brought up nurses as well who are even more exposed to having a gun grabbed during the performance of their duties.
Parents and other CCWs who do not directly interface with students/teachers probably could carry with their normal holster and practice normal safety procedures.
Just a sound and tested system that negates the “what if” crowd .....
Stay Safe !
Good answers.
