“It’s the culture stupid......it ain’t the guns.”

Bingo!!!!!

Many people in this town knew that Adam was strange. Ask the hairdresser who cut his hair. Ask the people who he confronted face-to-face and never uttered a word. Now that they, and his mother, failed to get the help for him that he so desperately needed; now that 20 children have been slaughtered by a mad man; the idiots blame the guns.

Before guns are banned, the people of this town and all politicians involved ought to take a long hard look into a mirror and ask themselves if they could have saved 20 angels!!!!!!

.....Ask the hairdresser who cut his hair.....

Based on some of the photo's that I have scene of this perp, she should be held as an accessory due to the child abuse she rendered on him with that hair style! Like this: http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=slv8-hpd10&p=adam%20lanza%20photo&type= or this: http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=slv8-hpd10&p=adam%20lanza%20photo&type= or my personal favorite: http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=slv8-hpd10&p=adam%20lanza%20photo&type= Had his mother only invested in some cheap clippers and cut his hair to look a little more normal, perhaps he would have had some friends and gained some acceptance. http://www.amazon.com/Wahl-79524-2501-Chrome-24-Piece-Haircut/dp/B0026IBSVE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1355975471&sr=8-2&keywords=hair+clippers I don't know, it is just a theory, but all that hair would drive me crazy.

The leftists want to make this a question of “do we need AR-15s and semiautomatic rifles?”. We should just respond, that’s the wrong question. The real question is: “do we want to be free?”

It’s been true from time immemorial that you can’t be a free man if you can’t bear arms privately, and if you can bear arms privately, then it is proof that you are a free man. If the leftist says “Do we need guns?”, just say “Do you still need your freedom?”

So, the common denominator is that they were nerds, geeks, or whatever other name you want to apply to “social rejects”. That’s not really a revelation.

Also, it’s simply not true at all that geeks who hang out in basements playing video games, or D&D, or reading comic books, or what have you, are not interested in girls. On the contrary, they’re probably more obsessed with girls than your average teen, because they usually can’t get anywhere near them, so they can only fantasize about them. Nerds don’t want to be lonely losers, they just can’t get girlfriends, because they are nerds!

Thank goodness I didn’t follow your advice during high school or I’d never have had a date!

And by the way, there are nerd girls too. In fact, there’s pretty much somebody for everybody if you look hard enough.

The earliest known United States shooting to happen on school property was the Pontiac’s Rebellion school massacre on July 26, 1764, where four Lenape American Indians entered the schoolhouse near present-day Greencastle, Pennsylvania, shot and killed schoolmaster Enoch Brown, and killed nine or ten children (reports vary). Only three children survived.[1]

And being attracted to the opposite sex IS what is NORMAL.

Durn tootin'. I'm in my 50"s and that's still how it is. If you don't believe me just call home and ask my wife! (I'm allowed to look at the menu, I just can't place an order)

No big deal. Wouldn't if I could.

I didn’t give any advice, just making an observation. I’m glad you found a girlfriend though. Plenty of nerds don’t, I think that is pretty self-evident, or we wouldn’t be talking about the fact that they don’t.

Actually, I think most of the people we are talking about were quite a bit different than what I call “nerds.” To me, nerds are usually just kids that possess a lot more brain power than muscle power. They may get pushed around in school a bit, but most kids realize that it will be the nerds that are eventually rich. And some day, to their really fancy house and exotic car they’ll add a knockout trophy wife and have the last laugh.

The kids I’m talking about are a lot more in the mixed-up/dark side category. Hasn’t been much found out about the current one, but Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were pretty well investigated - at least until the investigation started going directions the liberals didn’t like.

From e-mails and other evidence, it was obvious that the two of them were engaging in homosexual acts together. But the taller of the two (I can never keep the names straight) actually attracted the interest of girls. But it is also obvious from the writing they left behind, that both of them would rather have killed girls than had sex with them (even though at least one of them may have had opportunities offered). And I don’t consider that Nerdism - more like twisted, sick, something completely miswired between the ears ism.

Instead of blaming inanimate objects, the question people ought to be asking is why do we appear to be producing a greater number of kids with this twisted outlook? I suspect that question isn’t being asked because it could lead to putting the blame at the feet of the society liberals are trying to create.

Better to blame guns than let the conversation go there!

But the fact remains: any teenage male that would prefer to hide out in a basement and play violet video games rather than be out trying to meet girls - ain’t normal. Somebody will probably find a reason to flame this comment - but I am sorry. Wanting to be around girls, wanting have some sort of relationship with girls, hell just wanting to walk down the street with a girl - it’s what we do, we’re guys. And being attracted to the opposite sex IS what is NORMAL.

Agreed.

But I don't think their lack of interest in the opposite sex has anything to do, necessarily, with an undercurrent of possible homosexuality or some sort of weird personality disorder. Perhaps they were merely socially awkward; perhaps, even, they wanted to do things normal 15-year-old boys do, like talk to girls/be with girls/etc., and the notion that their shyness or awkwardness prevented them from doing so increased their anti-social feelings to such a degree they acted out in such a severe, inhuman manner.

Just building on what you had there.

My answer directly above your post discusses this thought. I don't know yet about this most current incident, but the two Columbine maniacs have been studied in a lot more detail. And at least one of them did not have to be cut off from female companionship - he chose to be. There are socially awkward nerds, and then there is something else entirely. And we seem to be producing more and more of that ‘something else entirely.’
