I believe violent videogames glorifying,i.e. awarding points and winning based on gore and victim count ARE influences on the minds of many.
All those old Westerns and even war movies emphasized good triumphing over evil,and the heroes did not kill unless they had to.

Which is evil and part of the wussification of the west. Sometimes it is right and proper to kill people even when people don’t have to.
The problem isn’t violence. The problem is violence for no or bad reasons. -A lack of those old-fashioned values...
