By the way, did I ever tell you that I scared off a would be burgler? All I did was scream at him. “Who are you and what the h*ll do you think you’re doing in MY house”? It was too dark to see his face, but he turned around and jumped out of the door and ran off down the hill. Cops wouldn’t even come out to talk to us or anything.

Good job! Now you know you can scare them off w/o the cops, useless as they were for you.

My neighbor scared some off by yelling "Jim, Jim, get the gun!". They couldn't leave fast enough. "Jim" wasn't home, nor did he have a gun. She's a pretty quick thinker.

Yes, she is a good thinker. I, on the other hand, am just a hot reactor. I was so mad by the thought that someone had the audacity to enter MY HOME while I was there, that I didn’t bother to think.
