EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. - A former Calhan School teacher is charged with sexually assaulting two students while she was employed there as a teacher.
27-year-old Amanda Rowles is accused of having a sexual relationship with two students under the age of 18. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says the unlawful activity happened over the course of the 2011-2012 school year.
Rowles had since moved to the Denver Metro area and did not teach at Calhan School this school year.
Rowles was arrested on Thursday by the Aurora Police Department and booked into the Aurora City Jail on a $50,000 bond. She is charged with two counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and two counts of sexual assault on a child/pattern of abuse.

One of the students told investigators he had sex with teacher Amanda Rowles “on at least 40 occasions” over a six-month time span starting in December, 2011.
“He said they would either go on hikes or go to her mother’s residence when her mother was not home,” the affidavit said.

expecting adults to act like adults is a good idea.
expecting teachers not to have sex with their students is just the most basic proper thing we should expect from schools.
I don’t care if the student is 18, someone in a position of authority and public trust should be expected to not abuse that authority.
Adults who have sex with minors have no place in our society and the sooner our society realizes that, then the better off it will be

Oh come on, by banging the boys she was protecting the younger girls in the school.
If she was doing this with 12-year-olds maybe there is more of an issue.
Please note. This was still wrong morally but given where society is at this point this is a small issue.
Why would she do this? The boys were probably jocks and as an education major the only males she saw were pansfied metrosexualals. What red-blooded woman wouldn’t want that kind of guy?
Lastly if they were doing this with her at 17 they were doing it anyway.
