I have two boys, public schooled.
Mike has been in the Army for 5 years and Daniel is in college in Dallas.
If you want to promote homeschooling, fine.
If you do so by falsely dissing my kids.. then screw you.

For someone who complains about how public school students are characterized by homeschoolers, you’re the one attacking public school students with your posts on this thread. I’m a homeschool parent, and I don’t talk the way you do about public school students.
As for the students who really do fit the description you gave, where do they learn to be criminals? Usually they fall in with the wrong crowd at school. Just as in prison, in school a loner is targeted - so a student will fit in with a group to keep from being jumped himself/herself.
Closing down public schools doesn’t mean that all students would be “homeschooled”. It just means the free market would take over. And churches would step in. There would be more choices in education - more private schools, independent classes, and other options.

Are you arguing that no one should question the existence of government schooling simply because you have two children who attended government schools??
First, your decision to send your children to government schools might say something about you but nothing about your children. If they survived the experience, praise God for that!
Second, it is absolutely stunning to me that alleged conservatives and alleged Christians continue to defend government schooling and send their children into government schools, given the aggregate results. Public schools indoctrinate in humanism & socialism. If one would like to see a restoration of limited republican government, and a repudiation of socialism, shouldn’t one start in one’s own home, family, community??

All people have the God-given right to freely assembly with those of their mutual chosing. In our nation, Free Association is recognized as one of our First Amendment Rights.
When children are **forced** by threat of police action to assemble and associate with “feral” children (who might burn down my house )then the government is CRUSHING that child and his parent's First Amendment and God-given RIGHT not to assemble with these beastly kids.
