Well, it’s cute anyway. We got only about 4-5 inches on Thursday, and none since. It’s stayed though. I can just imagine all those folks in Dallas scrambling around in the snow, slippin’ and slidin’.

We lived in Houston for nearly 10 years and had one memorable snow — when the kids were heading back to college after Christmas break. My son actually had his ice scraper stolen out of his car in Waco when he stopped for the night to stay with his sister on his way back to Lubbock (where they actually used ice scrapers from time to time.)

We thought it was pretty funny: Waco, home of Baylor University and full of Bible believin’ Baptists actually had somebody who would steal an ice scraper from a poor traveler! How Christian is that?

Nothing else taken — just the ice scraper.

It hasn't been snowing long enough to accumulate on the roads yet. They're a little wet, but that's all. We don't normally get ice on the roads until January/February. The counties get the trucks out and sand the major roads when that happens.
