The petition to deport CNN host Piers Morgan for his recent comments on gun control has reached over 49,000 signatures as of this posting, which will force the White House to respond. The petition, created Friday, needed 25,000 signatures within 30 days for the White House to take action and its reached far more than that in a mere three days.
In case you missed it, the petition called for Morgan to be deported for his hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution. Gun advocates are angry about Morgans comments calling for increased gun legislation in America and are accusing him of wanting to undermine the Bill of Rights.

So what forces the White House to respond?
A simple we are not going to do anything would be a response, so what good does this petition do?
The White House knows the presidents views on gun control are not popular so this petition is not particularly useful in communicating to the White House.
Well, d’uh! “We’ve got ourselves a harvest, Rahm baby! No need to troll those anonymous forums anymore!”
He’s a foreign national engaging in subversive activity designed to undermine our constitution and our national security. He really should be deported...at the very least.
People are so concerned about tracking cookies, privacy invasions, spam, etc, and then they go and volunteer their names to the government headed by a committed marxist!
Nothing will happen to Gregory...and nothing will happen to Morgan.
“Immigration statutes require that after a certain number of complaints, hearings must be held on their deportation.”
Do you have a source for this nonsense?
Personally I think the petition website is a propaganda tool for the president.
He finds Liberal issues to use in his propaganda and has the added benefit of collecting email addresses for his campaign machine.
Any conservative issues can be easily ignored with zero consequences. He wasnt going to get their votes anyway. And yes those addresses can be filed away just incase theyre needed.
Who says the White House must respond?
I cuold give a crap what the White house does. The key point is to get the numbers high enough that someone at CNN, if they have half a brain, understands that Morgan is killing their ratings for that time spot.
Any advertising buyer is going to notice those petition numbers too. We need to pick one of Morgan’s advertisers and boycott their product.
They should send him back anyway to face phone hacking charges. He was the lead guy on phone hacking for several years before he came over here. Does anyone who is not institutionalized watch that twit?
Better yet, boycott his show—boycott his sponsors! Burn him in Effegee! Petition the Queen to call him home! No foreign Devil should tell us how to live our lives! I wonder if he ever served his own nation—i bet not. I didn’t like it when Mitt criticized the mayor of London during the Olympics—and I will not put up with this British Metrosexual arrogantly talking down the US Constitution! Piers go Home!
Delusional and arrogant.
A foreign national with the b****s to demand our First Amendment Rights that he can't even enjoy in his home country.
(For you left wing leftard "progressives," GB doesn't have a 2nd Amendment.)
A busybody "entertainer," fercrying out loud, 'taking on' 75 million pissed off Americans? Got to admire his unconscious arrogance.
how can I sign?
A harvest indeed.
They can target us already. Why make it easier for them. I closed my Facebook account after I found myself posting all sorts of political commentary right after the election.
Exactly. The advertisers are the only people interested in knowing the opinion of the public.
We’re closing in on 70,000 signatures. I don’t watch CNN. Is there a consumer products advertiser on Morgan’s show we can boycott.
