I would give you the demographics, but that would be racist, so I’ll just help you out with a little hint:

you are correct in that the problem is extremely bad, probably the worst, in one minority racial group

but... there are millions of broken families in the other groups, too. the percentages are almost certainly a lot less, yes, but the actual numbers are still quite considerable

alas, this is a very serious problem ... across the boards. all these families, or non-families, need our help, not just those in one racial group

Quick story...

A friend of my daughter (white) was telling her he realized his mother was a slut because she had six kids...

Now bear in mind my daughters mother (my wife) had six kids (4 are mine 2 from a former marriage) and that statement took my daughter a bit aback since both moms had six kids...

...until he mentioned all six kids had different daddies...

Probably would be called racist. But I can tell you how over 90% of them voted for president. Hint: They did not vote for the successful business man who is devoted to his wife and children.

Unfortunately one cannot pin this demographic disaster to a single cause. There are many societal factors that have contributed to this calamity:

Being on welfare is no longer a stigma but something that many aspire to as a way of life. Recipients receive not a book of food stamps but a shiny new card that resembles the same credit cards that working people only used to earn by paying their bills on time and establishing a decent credit rating. Yes, it actually used to be a privilege to have a credit card or two in your wallet and was actually once a telltale sign that you were a responsible tax-paying citizen in good standing.
Deadbeat dads are no longer sought out by law enforcement and forced by the courts to support their offspring. Unless, of course, you are an upwardly mobile white man from the suburbs. In which case you are court-ordered to vacate your home (leaving it to the wife and kids), forfeit the majority of your pay and are forced to live in a ratty apartment while taking on a second job delivering pizzas at night so you have a little pocket money to put gas in your clunker of a car (ex-wife kept the Lexus) in order to keep your primary job so you can keep making those alimony and child support payments.
Men have been emasculated by a society who treats most masculine activities as criminal or some sort of mental disease. In popular culture, men are portrayed as hapless, overgrown juveniles who sit around playing video games or watching football all day in baggy pants and sports jerseys that are five sizes too large and are unable to boil a bot of water or operate the washing machine on their own without feminine intervention and guidance. On virtually every television show, men are portrayed as objects of scorn and/or ridicule and this is apparently how many women wish to view them (just check out the programming on the Lifetime channel, for instance).

I can go on and on but it is too late to get the genie back in the bottle. Casual sex has replaced the need for matrimony. Many women no longer fear getting pregnant and actually invite additional babies in order to increase their government checks. Hell, some women see another baby as another step up the economic ladder. All of this with no consequences whatsoever to the shiftless men who go about randomly planting their seeds. I'm surprised that prostitutes are still in business!

Personally I see no way out of this mess our country is in. We are going to go off the cliff and it's only a matter of when.

Yes, there are real men out there and there always will be real men out there but they are in the minority now and we no longer have them in the numbers required to set things right.
