In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
stridulous \STRIJ-uh-luhs\, adjective
1. Also, strid·u·lant. Making or having a harsh or grating sound.
2. Pathology. Pertaining to or characterized by stridor.

-- The Writings of Bret Harte, The Crusade of the Excelsior
Etymology:
Stridulous came from the Latin word stridulus meaning "giving a shrill sound, creaking" from stridere meaning "to utter an inarticulate sound, grate, creak."
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

I turn off my TV whenever I hear Obama’s stridulous voice making ridiculous claims in a strident and insulting manner.

“I can’t remember
My brains in a blender

People have remarked upon the silver tongued oratory of the Lyin’ King.
But his stridulous tones give me a gastric Disturbance.
He triggers fake Tourette’s in the rest of us. A for you.
Obama’s stridulous immigration policy has hit home. Early Christmas morning, police approached two suspicious men. A female officer was approaching them and told them to raise their hands. Seconds later the Cuban national opened fire with a point blank shot to her face. Fortunately, it only hit her ear. She and her backup opened fire and he is dead. The man arrived in this country at the age of 4 years. Obama would have put him on the short list to citizenship. The man was 20 years old when he died. For 16 years this man lived here and embraced a criminal career. ICE recently released him when Cuba refused to take him back. How many more losers have entered our country that our president wants to embrace?
That’s awful. I’m glad she’s okay. A for you, F- for the incompetents running the show.
When you're living the good life and can buy those new kicks for your feet, you know the ones, size 13 with air pumps, lightening bolts on the sides, little lights that come on with every step, a hidden pocket, special ankle collars for upright walking, 18 feet of shoe string each shoe and all of it so dazzling white mortal hands should not touch them, that's stridulous, striding while fabulous!
She needs reconstructive surgery on her ear, and she is getting death threats. This is insane in Binghamton, New York. Last fall, a man was found down in Binghamton area with a gunshot. Early December he succumbed to complications from a shot to his leg. Police still have no idea what happened. xsmommy knows Binghamton well....they will probably steer clear of it now.
Society is unraveling, it’s unreal there’s that sort of thing going on up there. Yesterday on the five, Juan was being dense as usual, to the point that there’s far less gun violence in areas with lots of people carrying. Ny state has pretty restrictive gun laws.
