The only weird one I have is that the smell of cinnamon makes me sneeze, and I hate the smell anyway.

It’s beyond uncouth for the sniot-nosed kid to have noted that on the ticket, but honestly, now a far wider audience knows she’s fat than if she’d kept her humiliation to herself. It’s one thing to call the kid on it, face to face, but to make the story public seems far more humiliating! A +++ and happiest of New Years, Moochy!

No thread today, been in the ER all night. Wife got a bad UTI. At least it’s not kidney stones.

That really sucks-I hope she is feeling much, much better, and glad it is not anything more serious.

That had to be a bit scary - hope she gets some relief soon.

I was reading the remarks on the fat lady ticket post and LMAO. In my work, the remarks spoken and written about wretched customers when they are not around are usually profane and hilarious, never mind uncouth-but I remember a few choice uncouth-at-work incidents.

When I was a newly divorced single mom, I had a second job for extra money at a large furniture store which hired mostly people like me who had a full time job elsewhere, or college kids.

One young guy who had a wicked sense of humor wrote on a customer visit form “lost people from hell”, referring to a family of browsers whose members were all as dumb as a box of rocks, and rude.

We also hated the egotistical, compulsive manager, and we did covert things to set him up for ridicule-not really difficult-and acted out outrageous scenarios that included all staff whenever he was gone in the evenings. When the cat is away...

HAPPY NEW YEAR, ALL!!!

Have you gotten much rain there? It has been drizzly and cold here, but all told we’ve gotten less than 1 inch of rain.

Hmmm-it seems I am alone in the classroom-cue Billy Idol-

“On the floor of Tokyo
Or down in London town to go, go
With the record selection
And the mirror’s reflection
I’m dancing with myself

When there’s no one else in sight
In the crowded lonely night
Well I wait so long
For my love vibration
And I’m dancing with myself

Oh dancing with myself
Oh dancing with myself
Well there’s nothing to lose
And there’s nothing to prove
I’ll be dancing with myself”...

Thanks all.

We went to the in-laws last night, as usual. My wife wasn’t feeling great earlier and there was some light snow. She said she would not be able to drive so I was not to drink too much.

Good thing cause when we got home about quarter to one we headed back out to the hospital. We got home around 8.

My sister’s husband was just diagnosed with cancer. Please say a prayer for John. Thank you.

May God restore your sister’s husband’s health. One of my dearest friends was told last week that the malignant tumor he had was shrunken to almost nothing-miracles do happen...

I hope your wife is feeling a little better today. UTIs can be miserable.
