One of my beloved students gave me a $50.00 Darden Restaurants Gift Card. I could have had several meals at Olive Garden, Smokey Bones, or the Bonefish Grill, but i blew the whole thing in ONE trip to Red Lobster! LOL!!!

As Steve Martin might say “We all do wild and crazy things at times.” If you enjoyed it, it was worth every penny! I love Red Lobster but don’t go so much anymore.

Unstoppable

Under it. Over it. Around it. Through it. Nothing will stop me from doing it.” I often hear people express this kind of attitude when they get an idea or see an opportunity that seems good or profitable. They devote all of their resources to getting it done.

As evidence that this way of thinking may be flawed, I call as my witness a donkey—a donkey belonging to a man named Balaam.

Balaam was offered a profitable assignment from a neighboring king, and he inquired of God for permission to accept it (Num. 22). When God said no, the king’s representatives made a better offer. Thinking God might change His mind, Balaam asked again. God granted permission for Balaam to go with them but with strict conditions. God knew Balaam’s heart and was not pleased with him, so He placed His Angel in the way. Balaam couldn’t see the Angel but his donkey could. When the donkey refused to continue, Balaam became angry with the animal for blocking his progress.

Balaam’s story teaches us that not every obstacle is meant to be overcome. Some are placed by God to keep us from doing something foolish. When our plans are hindered, we shouldn’t assume that it’s Satan trying to stop us. It might be God trying to protect us.

Let Your wisdom guide me ever,
For I dare not trust my own;
Lead me, Lord, in tender mercy,
Leave me not to walk alone. —Reed
God is always protecting us—
even when we don’t realize we need it.

Read: Numbers 22:10-34

The Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way. —Numbers 22:31

They do mine too, and we know we will see them one day, and unlike poor old me, they already have the voices of the angels, I'll just have to wait on mine a while longer, mine is cracked, broken, off key and out of tune, it always was.

Good Morning All!
We're still in the 50's but
the temps are dropping! I need
to run to the store for a
few things but its drizzling rain.
But since I hear we may get
snow for the next two days
I will try to get ready and go
today, even though I don't
feel like it! Don't want to get
stuck in here without the necessities!
Hope you all are having
a good day today!

So sorry, Meg! Your helper will get it straightened out for you, I’m sure! When you say “Bad virus”, it doesn’t sound too good.

Hope its fixed soon! In my last post, I said that I had to get to the store so I’m trying to get ready. Hate to go out in the rain. There is only a few things that I have to have so maybe it won’t take long (I hope). The weather is looking bad for the next few days....with snow. And I don’t drive in the snow...no way!

Yesterday afternoon when I hit preview to post in response to your posts and comments..I got this strange error message..can’t find site click here..(of course I did not click)I looked at the name ..it had genx in it and knew I was in trouble..I was able to google the name..It hijacks browsers we use and can really mess up a computer..I turned ofF and unplugged my computer..trying to avoid further damage.

I asked my helper to bring over malwarebytes antimalware on a flash drive..so we could run my computer in safe mode and clean it up..I also asked him to bring his laptop so I could tell you . I did not know at the time that this clean up would fix the problem..as it was reported on my google search to be a hard one to get rid of.
I now have more protection on this computer..and my own flashdrive copy of Malware antimalware...

It took me almost as much time to sign into FR on his computer and post my “Bad Virus” notice to you as it did for him to clean up my computer.

.I and my tremor don’t do well with touchpads and laptop keyboards..LOL

Here’s hoping this really worked..It cost me all of 20 dollars for my helper to fix it..I am So fortunate to have this young man as a neighbor!

Hi All, been too “blah” to post lately, but still enjoy all your pics and comments daily.

Had rain and 55 degrees yesterday (record high) and lots of snow today. Only 3 days since the last weather incident of freezing rain. Been a bad winter. Had temps near zero a lot of the time too. Not exactly fun.

Trying to say “Isn’t the snow beautiful” as I shovel.

It’s real chilly up here Conor,(in the 40’s) . (Never thought the high desert would be colder than your neck of the woods!)

I am having a nice Wednesday. Yesterday - not so nice. (Shanah was spade and had her dew claws removed. I was a nervous wreck, and have been babying her since I got her home.)

That is adorable, yorkie. By the way, I just got back from the grocery store and you should see what I have to put away. I need to stop buying all that stuff. I go to get just a few things and come back with 7 or 8 bags. Of course, you know how those bags are. I have to sit down and rest before I put them away! I’m dog tired and it has been pouring rain. Open umbrella, close umbrella, seems a dozen times. And I never know what to eat. Right now, I’m enjoying a glass of buttermilk!!

Thank you for the darling doggie and coffee cup drinking fountain!
