Mainly because blog pimping is not appreciated at FR.
I can never quite understand why folks feel compelled to act as the blog pimp police......why not just hit the abuse button and move on? Seriously can you explain it?

My apologies, I didn’t know it was a video. There was no indication of such.
I’d say corrective behavior, and as a lesson to others that are new to FR on how not to behave on FR, and also to help the mods to have a little less work to do over the day to day operation.
I don’t ever recall JR asking for us to help the mods out except for hitting the abuse button but I don’t claim to be as up on the RULES as I probably should be.
So let me ask you this......what would you say to ME about clicking on the link and watching the video? I mean isn’t your gripe also with me? How do plan on controlling my behavior? If you know I viewed the video and you are attempting to help the mods how do you deal with the folks like me who could care less if it came from his blog?

Don’t mind in the least, it is your time and computer. I would caution you to not go to links that you don’t know as virus/spyware/malware can be installed.
As for blog hits, some people make a profit of getting clicks to their links and piggy back upon the use of FR’s resources (and other sites and blogs) to attempt to up their webpage or blog’s hit count to generate profit. While I am all for profit, you should not do it on the backs of FR’s resources to promote your own profit and not pay it back to JR for use of his servers and FR’s good name.
Decide for yourself
1. Do blog hits cost FR Money?
2. Do blog pimps pay into FR’s fundraiser freepathon?
3. Could it lead you into spyware, or virus for your computer that could harm your system?
4. Would it be easier if they just posted the entire article to stop directing users away from FR for every article?
Just my opinion, it is costing JR Money, if it isn’t paid back it is not cool, and it takes time away from good FR users to go someplace else for something easily posted instead. I doubt a user since 2005 would send you off to a virus and malware site but you are taking a risk that you don’t have to if they would fully post the article.
And thank you for taking time to ask and allowing me to clarify why I think it may not be in the best interest of FR and JR to allow blog pimping.
