The short answer is: government corruption.

We all saw a similar level of entrenched corruption in the persection and prosecution of the Duke Lacrosse “rapists” who didn’t rape the alleged rape victim.

This time, it very much appears that the flip side of government corruption is taking place, and a rape victim was maliciously persecuted, and possibly threatened with prosecution. Certainly she was extensively victimised by her rapists friends, and their families political connections.

I don’t have any inside knowledge of this case to contribute.

No matter the final legal verdict,there is obviously something very wrong with many of the people in that town.

I would say that it’s more than just that one town. There are many of these stories about highly talented athletes, who literally get away with acts like this, because they have the potential of going onto the collegiate level, or possibly pro.

I think there is something troubling about how many Americans relate to athletics.
