Maybe 2013 will be the annus mirabilis in which we impeach obama.

Or maybe the anus miserabilis when we don’t.

Caps season tix have gone digital. xshub was quite perplexed by how this is going to work and it doesn’t seem like an improvement. if you lose/have the card stolen, seems you would be *ed. He got an email last night about it.

It’s probably like the way people use their phones to display their boarding passes for airlines.

Me, I wouldn’t trust a phone not to run out of juice or otherwise fail right when you needed to board.

That’s what i thought, but there is an actual card that they are going to send that will have all the games encrypted on it. We often give tickets away if we can’t go to a game, don’t know how you do that with this card deal. and like i said, what happens if you lose it.

It’s a way for them to save money and they don’t care a whit how it inconveniences the fans, who they ought to be coddling right now.

If they are still going to mail you something, then they haven’t quite got the gist of going digital, eh?

First day of the second semester to start the annus mirabilis here. Maybe we can go to hockey practice after running the dog to the vet for a quick stick.

Guess not, but the tickets used to come in a very nice box, the ticket stubs had nice glossy pix of the players etc. I am sure they were expensive to produce and Secret is right, a stupid card will be cheaper, but i see lots of problems with a card. We had instances of forgetting a ticket at home or bring the wrong ticket from the pkg to a particular game and it was handled at Verizon without a problem. Not sure it will be quite so easy in the case of the card.

When I was seventeen
It was an annus mirabilis
It was an annus mirabilis for small town girls
And soft summer nights
We’d hide from the lights
On the village green
When I was seventeen

When I was twenty-one
It was an annus mirabilis
It was an annus mirabilis for city girls
Who lived up the stair
With all that perfumed hair
And it came undone
When I was twenty-one

When I was thirty-five
It was an annus mirabilis
It was an annus mirabilis for blue-blooded girls
Of independent means
We’d ride in limousines
Their chauffeurs would drive
When I was thirty-five

But now the days grow short
I’m in the autumn of the year
And now I think of my life as vintage wine
From fine old kegs
From the brim to the dregs
And it poured sweet and clear
It was an annus mirabilis

Good morning. I guess annus miribilis is the opposite of the annus horribilis that we first learned about from Queen Elizabeth II the year all her children got divorced and Diana died.

Paula and i are going to email Ted [Mr. AOL] and tell him this is a bad idea. He has been responsive in the past. They changed the netting last season from black to white and it was hard to look through and people complained to Ted and he switched it back.

Loving the Jane Eyre quote! DGB had the 10 types of hockey fan we all became at some point during the lockout but they didn’t have me - the crab who said how much money is enough, you spoiled brat players? And who else in this life gets a guaranteed pension???
