a study proving that drinking Coca-Cola (the brand name provided in the article) can open up clogs in people with overly convoluted gastrointestinal systems caused by the ingestion of digested fruits and vegetables.

Seems like the simplest solution is to stop eating fruits and vegetables.

Some people have really slow digestive tracts. My guess is that for people who for one reason or another have slow/constricted digestive tracts, too much vegetable fiber is a bad thing. The acids in cola must not be broken down by the stomach acids and therefore are able to act as liquid draino farther into the GI tract.
