Don't worry; this Amendment is effectively nullity.
The War on Drugs, and the War on Terror -- which now includes american citizens, thanks to the NDAA -- both of which have no "victory condition" guarantee that there will never be a "time of peace" again.

I wouldn’t quarter a soldier in my house. Too messy!

So is there any US law currently in place to govern the quartering of troops in private houses? The sophists in the current admin can twist things to have us “at war” in some way, so what laws can they potentially use to force the situation described in III Amend.?

The next amendments to be fully driven into the hole of oblivion are the 4th and 5th. In particular, the 4th guarantees the right to be secure in our “persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures”......no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, etc.”

As much as people slobber all over LEOs here, I’m here to state that not all LEOs are in it for noble purposes on our behalf. There is a great hatred of the 4th and 5th amongst the ruling class including many LEOs because we have the right to say, “hold it, this is mine, not yours.” How much easier it would be if they could just knock your door down, take what they want, plant evidence, and make people who don’t toe the line disappear. Can’t happen? Ask the Jews of Europe.

I'm not worried about the Third Amendment - yet. The Ninth and Tenth Amendments are already effectively dead; those two are so systematically ignored that almost no one even notices the unconstitutionality of federal actions in violation of those two amendments. My biggest worry after the death of the first two Amendments is the Fourth and Fifth Amendments.

Amendment IV: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Amendment V: No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. I expect unreasonable search and seizure against firearms in the immediate future, which will eliminate the force of that protection for all other possessions and weaken the Fourth Amendment. Similarly, I expect the taking of that private property without just compensation, weakening the Fifth Amendment. I hope and pray that I am wrong, but I am not an optimist; we are facing pure evil and there is no limit to how far they will go to increase their personal power over others.
