Hubby snapped photo of some anti-fracking grafitti in the People's Republic of Ithaca. This was on an abandoned building, probably due to inability to pay exhorbitant New York State taxes. Looks like an OWS scrawler!

Back in the ‘60s, my Dad almost moved us to ithaca. He was a long-term gun enthusiast and had an opportunity to work for the gun manufacturer. I don’t know what changed his mind, but I sure am glad that he abstained - Rochester was bad enough...

What a blast from my past! I used to shop right across the street. Ironically, that building is across from Green Star Coop Market. Quite the haven for lefties. My wife and I were back there visiting a couple of months ago, and there has been a massive infusion of money to build student housing for Cornell and Ithaca College students. It was astonishing what had been built in less than a year since we were last there (excluding this blighted building). We looked at each other and asked: “Where was all this money when we were living here?!”
