Beyonce lip-synced 'The Star Spangled Banner,' Marine Corps Band says

Halfway through her rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" at President Barack Obama's inauguration on Monday, Beyonce dramatically did away with the earpiece that singers use to hear themselves and their bands in a live setting.

One viewer likened it to the gutsy move Luke Skywalker made in the dramatic chase scene in the original "Star Wars," tweeting: "Taking out the earpiece is Luke turning off the targeting system in the Death Star trench."

But now a rep for the United States Marine Band says Beyonce was not even singing the song live.

She was lip-syncing.

The rep said that the multi-platinum singer decided to perform to a pre-recorded track at the last minute.

“All music is pre-recorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day,” Kristin DuBois told The Post. “We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyonce was going to use the pre-recorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don’t know what the reason why.”

Sources also tell Fox News that Beyonce was a no-show at the

And there's more.

A report in The Washingtonian questions the band's performance as well, citing eyewitnesses at the inauguration who said the band was not playing either. The report also shows an Instagram picture of Beyonce with members of the Marine Corps Band in a recording studio on Sunday.

I am an experienced performing artist, having used headsets before...

While I have no doubt she was pre-recorded and lip-syncing, you would not know that from just her pulling her headset out.

You pull your headset out if you can’t hear yourself in the mix. I have pulled mine off during live performances, where the onstage sound mix is better than the in-ear.

Just sayin’.

Except Luke Skywalker never removed his targeting headseat in the Death Star trench...because it was a movie and it never really happened!!!

Liberals truly live in a fantasy world.

Well yeah. All the smart singers do, it’s a tough song, better to get it right in the studio than screw it up in the big event. The generally considered best performance ever, Whitney at the Super Bowl, was synched.

It’s all faked. Somehow appropriate for Obama and the Libtards.

And the libtard sheeple orgasm over it all. Not surprising.

Oh, but there is. I won’t be tuning into “The Five”. But, then, I never do.

I do know that Beyonce is a singer, but I would not be able to point her out in a line-up. And I prefer to keep it that way.

Best ever was Lou Rawls. Tell me that was lip synched and ... well, I sure hope it wasn’t.

There’s a section on The Star Spangled Banner in the Lou Rawls Wiki article. They cite the Shavers-Ali fight at “The Garden” in 1977, and say he was requested to sing it “many times” after that. I’m thinking of an NFL game from the 80’s, I guess. I want to say Monday Night, but I don’t think so. Anyway, I thought “Wow!”, and sure enough the announcers expressed a similar opinion after he was done. “Ah yes, I remember it well!”
