Personally I would dearly love to see a Khan Movie showing his youth and fsiled revolution.That would make a fantastic Star Trek Movie.We have the show after the failed revolution,and of course the movie after the planet they are given turns bad,,,but no real movie showing him young and almost ruling the world.
Yes, it would be awesome, but being so far back in the past, it would have to be a time travel plot in order to tie it in with any Star Trek series. How they would time travel back and show those events, but not change them, and make a good plot out of it, I can’t imagine. It could maybe work as a stand-alone, non-Star Trek film, like the “Hannibal Rising” origin story for Hannibal Lektor was done.
While that would probably be a great movie it’ll be hard to structure. The whole Khan revolution heavily predates any place we’ve actually had stories except for a couple of time travel plots. It’s pre-TOS, pre-Enterprise, even pre-First Contact. So unless they’re going to send the Enterprise back in time where’s the hook? Where are the characters we know? And you have the additional problem of the audience is probably going to root for Khan (because he’s cool), and Khan has to lose. That’s a tough story to write.
