Or maybe someone already has and the cocoa cartel is keeping it under wraps.

It's the Stone Cutters.

"we do. we do."

I think they’re more comfortable when it’s this cold. How would one know if a breed REQUIRED it? They like to be outside and it’s cold!

I suppose one would know what a certain breed’s qualities are. If they came from a warm weather climate and are small dogs, they probably aren’t built to withstand a walk outside in 15 degree weather.

My collies could curl up in the snow and take a nap and my rescue half Bichon runs out, TCOB, and is back at the door pawing like mad to get in. Of course he is cut pretty short.

My dog was trying to sniff in the little dusting we had yesterday. I told him “just wait till tomorrow, you can get your whole snout dug in.”

You guys are making me feel cold (and guilty because it is 57 here). Husky girl was born in WA, in a snowy winter, weighs 70+ pounds and has enough fur for several dogs-she likes to play in the cold, as long as there is no sleet or snow falling, but I’m certain even she would balk at being in 15 degree weather for more than a few minutes, sweater or no...

I think your husky would acclimate pretty easily. She is made for it after all.

It is warmer here now. Going to be 20 today. Monday and Tuesday will get in 40s, near 50.

It is 57 here, and foggy-

The Roman mob only gets excited if
The words “cut welfare” are spoken-
Otherwise, their vacant hebitude
Is a condition dull and unbroken

Maybe it’s second-hand stoning
And the koolaid that they consume
That sucks the available oxygen
And the common sense out of a room

Something is going to happen, and
Some will get hungry before long-
When the free lunches are all eaten
And there’s only sludge in the bong

The liberals I know remind me that they were mostly the hard-core stoners I knew and avoided in my youth...

Heat wave, huh? Next week we are supposed to have a cold front bringing us down to what the daytime high usually is-about 55, and back to freezing at night. This is a nice little warm spell, but due to end soon.

My experiencing hebetude and don’t feel like looking for homework. I am enjoying some tasty Chinese food for lunch and was wondering if it were your last day on earth, and you could have whatever you wanted, prepared by a restaurant or whomever (assume its magical and can be prepared by a deceased person even) what would you want?

Seriously though, my tastes are simple. A NY strip steak from Morton’s. A shrimp cocktail with the tiny little shrimp I had by the bay in Seattle. Some Dungeness crab.

For dessert something chocolate and ice cream.

And the finest whiskey to wash it all down.

For me, it is the total experience that is a must-have, so the setting is just as important as the food.

Now that I’ve imagined myself into that scenario-I’m at my favorite restaurant that no longer exists, at my favorite table in a quiet candlelit corner. The waiter brings and pours my wine-a nice merlot-and my salad of baby greens with watercress and avocado. Then, he serves my very rare ribeye steak, grilled over mesquite and topped with mushrooms sauteed in butter and wine, and some cooked-but crisp-asparagus. All food is fresh today, and delicious-so, cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war-I’m ready now...
