Yeah, I heard that bromated vegtable oil is bad stuff. Mt. Dew is loaded with it... and I’m in trouble! Kinda like the nasty high fructose corn syrup.

They are ignoring the real culprit. They don’t talk about it, but people who have done a little research have verified that Gatorade contains measurable amounts of dihydrogen monoxide. This stuff kills thousands of people every year — yet many school children are habitually exposed to it during sporting or other activities. Congress will ban it one of these days, but for now, the scourge goes almost unrecognized.

...the ingredient, brominated vegetable oil, has been patented as a flame retardant...

Should I douse my computer with it before posting on Free Republic?

I would imagine that if anyone ever took the time to research all the posted ingredients in a product EVERYTHING would be banned.

Like an earlier poster (on another thread) had said he took a test for health insurance and they called it the
enitocin test
(supposedly to see if you smoked - may be a joke etc but it is ‘cute’)

Always got a kick out of Evian backwards is Naive ...

Been a runner for 30 years and downed more than my share of Gatorade.
Never had any problem with flames so I guess the BVO is working.

I quit gaterade and sodas because of the stuff in them. Sticking to coffee and tea and hoping they have not put too much fillercrap and pestcides in those.

Same with food. Anything packaged has so much exotic chemicals and most that stuff comes from china.

Customers complaints caused business to change product.

I dare a company to respond to customer complaints.

Of course someone should point out that if an ingredient is a fire retardant and is therefore bad for a person, then the fire retardant ingredient water is also bad ...

Gatorade is about 99.9% water...last I heard, that was even a more potent fire retardant.
