Women already have p*****s; they really don’t want another one running around the house.

GREAT line.

From the article:Men in the study reported having had sex an average of 5.2 times in the month prior to the survey while women reported 5.6 times on average.

Anyone else notice that the study asks the question how coercion might affect frequesncy among couples where the man takes a more traditional role with respect to housework but it doesn't speculate how the wives in the study have on average more sex than their husbands?

Perhaps the men get headaches after doing the housework. “Not tonight, honey, I have a headache...from realizing that all that work I did today, I will have to do it all again tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that, into perpetuity.”

My swinging bachelor pad uses nothing but paper plates and plastic dinnerware for this very reason.

I live on a sailboat and use the Glad resealable food containers for dishes. When I'm done eating, put my utensils in the container with a drop of dishwashing liquid and a little hot water, seal, shake and rinse. Dishes done.

Or perhaps men who aren’t getting much or any sex step up to try to relieve the wives of some drudgery so she’ll have more time and energy. Decision time comes when she still says no, gets dressed in the closet, watches TV until midnight every night, and uses her new found time to go out with friends.

Or like mine farcebooking/texting all the time, then complains she is always late every where.

Luckily I stay busy coaching my boys’ teams and other man stuff, besides the 50+ hours I work a week.

Exactly.

Instead of the sex-obsessed sexist drivel we of course hear here. People who work have less time and energy. And those who don’t are most likely just looking for ways to get their way - the men possessed by sex and ruled by it.

.2, .6. Maybe some shrinkage going on here?

I sure as hell noticed it!

5.2 sounds about right for me. (the 0.2 is my OWN contribution!)

But, I'm worried about that 5.6! What the HELL is going ON up there while I'm our on the road??

The secret is: Become GRUMPY after 6 days! ;-)

Oh, and apparently... DON'T do the DISHES! I wasn't doing that either.. I just didn't realize it was helping!

Yes, there’s FB and all the games too. Even with a similar work and family schedule, it’s still not enough. More and more, I see it as having a very negative impact on the kids.

I took stock last night when I realized during homework time that my two younger kids do not hardly read anything, not even for fun. I have done them a disservice and it is getting fixed as of this weekend. At their age I was reading two or more books (mostly classics for school, but some Louis L’amour and other stuff too) a month. When they have to for school they do not do it with content mastery so they can get back to there gadgets. I can see how over the last few months it is affecting their home chores as well, poor quality and flat just not doing them until hounded.

I am fixing to go scorched earth and basically eradicate a lot of stuff. I wish I could enforce that on the Mrs as well but that is a battle I will not fight.

I’ve been there, brother. My son became a much nicer person when we severely limited his time with electronics. I’ve noticed that I’m a better person when I limit my own time as well.
