I saddens me deeply to come before you today, Free Republic.
What I have to say here is the product of much soul-searching
and introspection and isn't a decision I have have come to lightly.
The time has come for Free Republic and humblegunner to part ways.
Too often have folks here misunderstood my kind offers of help in
matters of character and the embracement of reality. Daily it happens.
My benevolent endeavors are met with open hostility and cruel words.
The fact is that my ego and my feelings are not up to the onslaught
of hatred and ignorance. I must put this whole situation behind me
and, having cast off the weight of Free Republic dragging at me,
procede forward into the brave new world that surely awaits me.
