Of course it was. His entire presidency is staged. So much so that its getting to the point where the actions of his propaganda machine are even predictable (e.g., distracting news released to reduce the effect of negative events, Friday afternoon news dumps, etc.). His political playbook is becoming more transparent by the day.
The only way I would believe this stuff is if he proves himself by going hunting with Dick Cheney.
