Only one had any shotgun ammo and would sell only a box of each.
Now there are none.
All I can find now is birdshot.
“I was in Academy the other day and they had acres of shotgun ammo.”
I’m sure none of it was buckshot or slugs.
My local WM got a few boxes of PDX12 Defender in this morning. That was a nice surprise.
I haven’t seen a box of .22LR in a long time. I’m conserving what I have and daily plinking with the pellet gun.
Here’s the ammo sources I use online:

Play their game ..: leave to the parking lot and go back and buy a other
At close range, i.e. across the room, a too-heavy shotgun or too-heavy rifle can be "shot from the hip", much like sinking a cue-ball into a corner pocket. That will save your shoulder, and will make follow-up shots much easier.
A corner pocket is about 4.5 inches. The center mass kill zone on a man-size target is at least a 10" or 12" dinner-plate wide. Even if you miss the heart/lungs, getting gut-shot with 12-guage buck-shot or slug might not kill immediately, but I suspect the attacker's priorities will shift substantially.
Turn a few of your birdshot shells into slugs with wax or caulking.
I bought the last box of 30-30 at the WalMart nearest to me last week.
The only thing left on the shelf was .243, .270 and a few odd calibers. No 22LR, no 22WMR, few hand gun ammo loads.
It shows no sign of restock.
I have managed to get my on hand reload components to a level I am comfortable with. Plan on doing a little bullet casting soon for a couple of calibers.
Even found some new (scarce) .348 brass and some Hornady 200gr FTX bullets for that gun. It kicks like a mule but delivers a huge impact.
Still looking for a few things but the panic phase for me is subsiding.
Those who don’t mind paying shipping might consider Cabelas. They have a couple of calibers that I’ve had trouble finding elsewhere, including cheap .45 longs. No .22LR though.
My two local walmarts are pretty depleted except for target loads for shot guns. My local big box store (Academy) has a decent amount of ammo, including .45 acp and plenty of shotgun shells.
—Wallyworld here in Pahrump—(which sells 9m/m, .45ACP, .223 and 7.62m/m by the palletload to Frontsight customers) has been bare of most ammo for a month—
I just got back from my local WM and they had 12GA, 20GA and 410GA along with 45 and 40 ammo. not a lot but it was on the shelf.
Didn’t read all the way to the last reply. I heard a rumor that WM would no longer sell ammo. I asked the lady at the gun dept at a WM supercenter. Not true. Their central warehouse is empty. She said it would be 4 - 6 weeks to restock, then WM would acccelerate their ammo acquisition.
Been there
Done that ;-{)
My walmart has plenty of 270 and about nuttin else....
My Walmart had three boxes of Federal 9mm today.
“Those who dont mind paying shipping might consider Cabelas.”
I’m supposed to have three boxes of Remington 22LR hollow points coming from them. Surely they will get here this coming week or the next.
There are three on your list I haven’t tried. I’ll add them to mine and I check all of them every day.
Yeah, they don’t sell rifles but they do have that Cannon safe and I’m thinking about getting the one that is twice the size of that one.
I’ll get it at Tractor Supply
