Just got the Glock last week and received some Independence 115 grain FMJ this week for practice. Also got some PNW Arms Tacops for defense...didn't shoot any of the good stuff today.
It was smooth as a good cigar...and surprisingly accurate.
Got 46 shots on target. Missed 4 but tried shooting fast and in motion (me, not the target)
So far, have only good things to say about the Glock.
Working to find the best way to grip the weapon. The nose wants to jump up on recoil and the grip only has room for 2 fingers.
I tried moving my left hand back on the wrist...didn't help holding the aim down. Moved it forward and ahead of my right hand. That helped to stabilize the barrel and aim.
Here is a video that shows what can be done with the Glock 26...this guy is amazing at even rifle distances.
I currently have a Ruger LCP 380, which I very much like. Am wondering if the 26 packs a little more punch.
Yeah they are going for $600 on Cheaper Than Dirt.
Have had good experience with Buds so far.
Glock 26 4th generation are available at Cheaperthandirt.com for the present time. That said, I have only bought ammo from CTD. Don't know and cannot testify as to their guns.
I switched last spring from a Ruger LCR 38 revolver to the Glock 26. I immediately experienced an improvement in accuracy. It’s definitely a grea CC gun!

I like my Kimber Super Custom Carry 1911. It works just fine although the capacity is limited, I carry a couple of extra mags.
Watched a couple of his other videos and learned the difference between a clip, which was used to load the 1898 era Garand, and the Magazine we use today.
At about min. 16:20 in this video he shows how a clip of 30-06 rounds was used to load the Garand and he explains the history of the 30-06 designation of that caliber round. Interesting stuff!

Are you using a thumb high or thumb down grip on the weapon? This affects your ability to recover from recoil.
The Glock 23 I lost in Hurricane Katrina shot the same way with even more punch.
I love my G19. Got about 600 rounds through it from various manufactures. No issues with accuracy (other than my own), always feeds, fires, extracts.

Yes to this. I shoot a 27 which is the 26 chambered for .40 caliber. The pearce makes it an almost perfect gun. It almost shoots itself.

The 27 can also be converted easily to shoot .357 SIG, one of the hardest hitting handgun rounds around. I love my 27.
I have a few “pocket” pieces and have found for me that just using the left hand to cup the right hand seems to work best for consistency and comfort. I don’t worry about nose jump as the cupped hand serves to allow everything to settle back on target and it all happens fast so about the time you are ready to squeeze off the next round, your hands/eyes have made the adjustments. I can empty mine into a grapefruit size circle at 25’ in 2-1/2 to 3 seconds which is plenty of accuracy for something designed for close up defense. For real accuracy, my 1911’s adjustable sights work great and my .357 stainless Ruger with 6” barrel is the bomb. Also have an old Ruger Mark III .22 equipped with a gas ramp and it served Dad and me well during competition shoots. Don’t have any Glocks, but from shooting with friends, they don’t seem to make a poor weapon.
