Oddly enough if you grew up in NJ, you may have a problem pumping your own gas.

Self-service is not allowed in NJ.

I think it was Chicago that the unions got it passed by the city that Self Service gas had to be priced 10 cents ABOVE Full Service gasoline.

That was in the '70s or so.
