Judges are like cops. Flip off a cop and see what happens. IMO, it’s freedom of speech. The government and it’s enforcers are out of control in America.

Do not show insubordination to the Ruling Class. Submit or else.

She’s lucky to have gotten only 30 days. Imagine what would have happened to Ms. Soto if it was Judge Judy. Honey, you’d have found out what it’s like to have been toasted with a flamethrower.

Even Lindsay Lohan isn’t stupid enough to flip off a judge, Soto is an idiot.

She should appeal and say she was just holding up #1 for English since this foreign judge seems to struggle with it.

I know of a cop who wrote a citation for a traffic violation after the driver flipped him off. When it went to traffic court, the judge felt it was written in retaliation and dismissed the case on freedom of speech. As the cop walked out, he flipped off the judge.—— It didn’t end well.

LOL, best chuckle I've had all day. < /snort>

I try not to go to any kind of court, but if I do, always keep my hands folded, or in my pockets, try not to pass gas and force a smile for all there. So far, I'm batting 100%

First, he fines her $5,000, then, apparently, he didn’t like the way she said “adios” after he said “bye-bye”, so he tacked on another $5,000? WTH? This judge seems like an a-hole on a power trip (like all judges, most likely). I would have had a hard time not flipping him off, too.

That’s a good story.

I’ve had some disagreements with asshole cops. One was a constable who was leading a funeral procession of a dead cop. The cop had been driving like a fool and flipped his car. There is no law in Texas stating you must pull over for a funeral procession so I didn’jt. The constable pulled his car across the lane in front of me. I had to stomp my brakes to keep from having a head on collision. He then pulled up to my door and screamed “You stay right there until this funeral procession is past. If you move I’ll arrest your ass!” Unfortunately, I let it pass. I’ve wished a thousand times I would have filed a complaint.

Just a couple of quick thoughts here;

1. When in court, it is not meant to be a humorous affair. It is quite serious.

2. Keep your opinions to yourself, whether verbal or gesticulated. Court is not interested in them nor in your wasting time with them. You want to waste your or anyone else's time, go find a soapbox and an alley to stand on to express them freely and expound upon whatever tickles your fancy. Not in court -that is not what they are there for. Just as you are a fool if you make unflattering comments or gestures to the man you are renting a room from and subsequently get tossed out of his house on your big fat keister for it, no one has any sympathy for your idiotic actions and the consequences thereby if you do.

3. Get caught and wind up in court because of it; time to pay the piper. Man up. Disparaging comments or flipping the bird is not going to cut it. Quite a few of the locales I came to know over the years you would be lucky to get away with just losing a finger over such an action, and anyone witnessing your stupidity would just shake their heads in disgust at you and walk away. Just in case such stupidity was contagious.

(Just on a side note: the audio needs some volume added.)

“Do not show insubordination to the Ruling Class. Submit or else.”

You got that right.

There are more than a few judges who deserve “fingers”.

Most Freepers would say the same about many (if not most) D.C. politicians and bureaucrats. Why are judges any different?

I agree. Why waste taxpayer dollars on a teenager with some Xanax? Friggin’ waste of time and resources.

I got thirty days once for telling a judge, after he said that something "wasn't allowed in his court room", that "it isn't your court room, it's the peoples court room".

Thankfully, he backed down after he cooled off a bit.

Impeach the kenyan or secession.
