Your climate is mild enough that a temporary greenhouse attached to your home should do well. frame structure with recycle glass or visqueen cover would do nicely great for early starting plants and wintering over cold sensitive plants. You can grow lots of fruits outside that we can not here apples , pears, peaches come to mind they need some cold hardening to be viable.

Yes, we have apples, peaches, and pears planted outside. The trouble comes when we get a warm spell, trees bud, and then a cold snap and no fruit.

However, when this hit just right, we think we’ll get loads of fruit. I was thinking such a green house would let me grow more than one lemon tree, and plenty of tomatoes.

Still we will have to see. We also want a storge shed, root cellar, and cistern, and will have to choose one, since we can’t afford all.
