Can’t say I blame anybody who wants to flee a blue state. We’re hoping to get out of California ourselves by the summer.

I'm getting towards absolutely needing to get out of NYC. I can't take living at home anymore, my family drives me nuts. I want to go where the cost for everything is lower.

Arizona is nice this time of year.

The trouble tough is that many of the fleeing come to red states and then vote to recreate the social environment that destroyed their former communities and chased them from their former hell-hole.

It was a fine posting and quite interesting...thanks very much for this informative addition to Free Republic. Just to supplement what you've already done, here's the migration map for those wanting a quick overview:

Libs are like a plague of locusts. After consuming all green matter in their own states, they leave searching for more.

Crap, I wish they’d stop coming to Oregon, they’ll just vote the same way they did in California and we’ll be up poop creek without a paddle.

There are no jobs here and the current regime is anti business

If KahLeeFawNeeYuh passes their draconian and tyrannical laws that usurp my inalienable rights, The Constitution demands “Seal not be infringed upon”, I will leave within six months.

Grant County Indiana - we have a population of about 70,000, 2 fast growing universities, wonderful people, and the cost of living is low. Our medium priced home is $63,000. Come on over.

One of the nice things about Arizona’s 130 degree summers is that it minimized the inbound traffic. People have to want to be here for a damn good reason to put up with the heat. Having gone from the Adirondacks of NY, one of the coldest spots in America, to the Lake Havasu area - one of the hottest, I speak from experience ;)

Unfortunately the cooler places like Flagstaff and Tucson (relatively cooler that is) attract libs like flies...so we are not completely immune.

Well they have to learn the need to “do as the Romans do” and leave behind that type of thinking in their new homes.

For anyone thinking of moving south, be sure to bring lots of jokes about dumb Southerners. We just love to hear new comers tell us all the things we are doing wrong and how great things were up there.

That is an insult to locusts, as they provide protein to many other species and have some redeeming value.

Yeah, I want to move out of my folks house to move in with my working girlfriend too! It is tough decision to make when you are 39. ;-)

I don’t either as long as the leftists aren’t taking their marxist preferences to another state.
