Support Growing For Former L.A. Officer Accused Of Killing Spree ("Dorner for President")
KMAX-TV ^ | February 8, 2013

Posted on 02/09/2013 10:28:26 AM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

The ex-cop accused of three revenge killings left behind a long manifesto outlining all of his grievances and observations.

That manifesto has given investigators some clues, but they still don’t know where is Christopher Dorner.

Law enforcement spent four hours searching his mom’s Orange County home. They took out 10 grocery bags filled with evidence.

Dorner lost his job with the Los Angeles Police Department in 2008. His manifesto vows revenge for that; and, surprisingly, thousands of people actually support him.

It’s hard to believe but there are those out there who sympathize with the man targeting police officers.

One Facebook page is proclaiming Dorner for president. “We propose electing a man who could no longer sit idly by and watch as malicious tyrants abuse the innocent.”

The description on “We Are All Chris Dorner” chillingly says, “Yes, this is war.”(continued, 2 pages)

This episode should really make the LAPD examine its relationship to the community it serves because something is clearly wrong.

Maybe something is wrong with much of the community it serves.

THANK YOU. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. Some looked convex, while some looked concave. Haven’t shot-up any car sheetmetal, lately; I’m a slacker.

I can’t help but wonder if some copycat(s) will show up and start “helping” him with his list. There is no shortage of nutcases in LA.

Arguably, the most over-the-top cops and departments are out in the suburbs. It’s universal, I think.

Prague cops aren’t so bad. Even the Czech Federal cops who operate in Prague are pretty decent.

Get into some of the areas and satellite cities around Prague or other metropolitan areas, and the attitude changes big-time. Why that is, I have no idea, but some of the suburban-based cops can be major power-tripping a******s.

This episode should really make the LAPD examine its relationship to the community it serves because something is clearly wrong.

Do you live in Los Angeles? Do you know anyone who works for the LAPD? I've lived in LA all my life and I have a close relative who worked at the 77th precinct (which is in the heart of South Central) before he started working undercover and the crap he had to put with from the denizens of South Central is beyond belief. Most LAPD officers exercise almost superhuman restraint in working in that environment. And the absolute bullshit I am reading on this board about how there is an institutional problem with the LAPD is sickening.

Of all the institutions in Los Angeles, the only instutitions that have attempted to maintain some semblance of professionalism are the Fire Dept and the LAPD. Everything else in the city has gone to pot, but the LAPD is still able to maintain relative order in a city with a citizen to officer ratio that is more than double what you find in cities like Chicago or Los Angeles. In LA, there are about 450 citizens to every police officer while in cities like Chicago and New York it is more like 220 citizens to every officer. Plus LA is spread out over a much larger area, so a lesser number of officers have to patrol a much greater area of terriorty.

On a final note, if the good citizens of South Central are upset with the LAPD, then the problem lies with the citizens and not with the LAPD. And if you don't believe me, I volunteer to take you on a tour of South Central. I go thru South Central several times a week. We can make it a walking tour and walk down Broadway or visit areas like the corner of Florence and Normandie or, better yet, we can stroll thru Nickerson Gardens and you can experience first hand what the LAPD does on a daily basis. I think an experience like that my change your perspective on who needs to re-examine how they are living their lives.

Yes, "Ted Baxter" is Freeperese for Bill O'Reilly.

The comparison may be unfair, but I'm not sure which of them is wronged by the comparison.

That’s what I’m saying. This monster who kills innocent people isn’t Jesse James fighting against the evil corporate railroad(/sarc). This guy is pure evil crazy, and people are just gah-gah over him. Unreal.

Why are you surprised???

The same people who voted for Obama support Dorner.

He is black, he hates “The Man”. He is one of them.

I am not surprised at all.

It seems that those in authority in government, business, education, etc. need to go back to a value system that causes them to treat people properly. So many have rejected their religious background and therefore have no clue on how to properly treat others.

What we are seeing is a rise in despotism. The culmination of that will result in a nation run much like North Korea, Cuba, etc. where government wields absolute authority. When the nation turns its back on God, historically, the result is ALWAYS the same.

I know of several supervisors who carefully follow company rules, but are abusive towards those under their authority. Very poor management style, but not illegal. This sort of thing is making a lot of people angry -- resulting in support for someone like Dorner who alleges he was mistreated, etc. and is striking back.

I’m afraid this may be coming to a town near you.

It’s a pretty sure bet that millions of us will, in the medium turn, find ourselves as the enemy of our betters.

And they will come for you, and shoot your dog and possibly your wife and kids. (it has happened before in Idaho)

And you will be portrayed by the media as being a crazy and a terrorist.

And your countrymen will turn on you also...

I don’t know what this man’s beef with the “state” was. Your only going to hear what they tell you, and frankly I haven’t been paying that much attention. But it sounds like he had somewhat legitimate complaints about his masters and got no where.

But be careful. There could be millions of enemies of the state in the next few years. For instance those who cling to their Gods and their guns.

The following report about Dornan is from the LA Times (of all places!!) and ABC Local LA:

The struggling officer's ultimate undoing began on the morning of July 28, when he and Evans were dispatched to a report of a man who had refused to leave a local hotel.

Evans criticized Dorner harshly in an evaluation report that included a long list of areas in which he needed improvement, including using common sense and good judgment. About the same time, Dorner ...claimed he had witnessed Evans kick the man while he was being handcuffed.

The department's internal affairs unit launched a probe into Dorner's allegations. Three hotel employees who witnessed much of the incident said they never saw Evans kick the man. And when the man arrived at the police station, he did not mention being kicked in the face... Investigators concluded there was no truth to Dorner's claim.

The witnesses' statements and Dorner's delay in coming forward 'irreparably destroy Dorner's credibility,' the department concluded in disciplinary records. Dorner was charged with making false statements and a false personnel complaint.

The discipline board found that Dorner had lied about the incident and fired him...On the day Christopher Dorner was fired from the Los Angeles Police Department, officials took the unusual step of summoning armed guards to stand watch at his disciplinary hearing downtown.

Most of the major media seem to be reporting on what is in the idiot's manifesto and NOT what the LAPD record says about Dorner. One LAPD trainer called Dorner a "problem child."
