TRENTON — The Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee today approved 20 bills aimed at reducing gun violence after a raucous day-long meeting before an overflow crowd.

“Whether it’s the streets of New Jersey communities, a movie theater in Colorado or an elementary school in Connecticut, enough is enough is enough,” said the committee’s chairman, Charles Mainor (D-Hudson), recounting a series of gun massacres. “No more talk. It’s time for action.”

Its important to write and call your legislators NOW and to write and call Chris Christie’s office, asking him to veto these bills should they reach his desk.

After release by the Assembly Committee, the bills go to the Full Assembly for a floor vote. If approved, they are sent to the Senate for review and posted to a Senate Committee for similar review before releasing for a Senate Floor Vote. Its not possible to determine which Senate Committee it will be sent to, but once identified the Committee members there should also be contacted.

If the Senate Committee approves them they are sent to the Senate for a full vote and if approved there, sent on to the Governor for signature.

If the Assembly bills have identical Senate Companion Bills and these have been similarly approved by the Senate, they can expedite the process. While most bills take several months to enact, I have seen the New Jersey Legislature ram through a bill in a couple of weeks.

Senate President Sweeney has an AA+ rating by the NRA despite his Democrat Party affiliation.

The same morons who are agitating for gun confiscation are the same ones who would attend any Constitutional Convention. They would codify every marxist, “inclusive,” feel-good fantasy the left has had for the last sixty years.

No thanks. No CC.
