Healthy, fit, young women, you’re all beautiful and CHAMPIONS!!
Wow - have times ever changed. I was a high school cheerleader in the 50’s. White corduroy circle skirts at our knees lined with red, red sweaters, white bobby socks and white bucks. One of my friends did a cartwheel at one game, the wind caught her skirt and her red tights were visible. No more cartwheels allowed!
Some really great gymnasts in this group. School, parents, girls and community should be very proud. Took lots of hard work, dedication, pain and amazing choreography to put this all together.

You mean like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRuwY5htjyE
Ours were almost exactly like that. Only difference was the skirts were red. White sweaters with H.S. letter on front. Red flared skirts, white socks and white shoes. I was head cheerleader and had a different letter on front. Those were the days. I note the short uniform pants on the boys playing. Today I wonder how they even run with those baggy pants down around their ankles.
Talented bunch of girls! New trophies to display in their impressive new high school.
One of the down sides of playing high school football in Texas was the sense of responsibility that one felt for the other school athletes, and the personal time that consumed.
In my off time both at school and at their private homes I spent countless hours helping the girls train both as try-out candidates, and as official cheerleaders if the season had started, to me it was no difference whether a girl’s hopes to make the team were justified or not, I just felt like I needed to be there to work as closely with them as I could.
Exactly like that! That is tooooo funny. Thanks for the link. Have some other old high school friends I need to share this with.
The Houston Middle School cheerleaders won the national title at national competition. Very proud of them.
Awesome bump!
And, it’s very good to see you! ;o)
Congratulations from George County!
Everyone needs to watch the movie “Bring it On”.
As a former cheerleader and a sponsor, all I can say is Wow! They nailed it!
Congratulations girls.
They do have a beautiful new school!
Wow! That routine was amazing! Folks don’t think of cheerleaders as athletes much, but think of the conditioning and just pure practice a routine like that requires. The girls probably need strength training similar to that of the football players for their arms and legs to do those lifts, as well as the gymnastics.
