These home invasions are increasing around the nation. No, they're not. They're just making national news more. Violent crime rates in this country are the lowest they've been since 1960.
As long as you a.) refrain from dealing drugs and b.) don't live in the ghetto, your chances of being a victim of violent crime are about the same as being struck by lightening.
The media is publicizing each and every violent crime to drive a gun control agenda. Don't buy it.

Prospect, Virginia is about 60 miles W-S-W of Richmond. . . near Farmville and Appomattox.
Video at link. . . looks like maybe the dog alerted the homeowner in time to react to the three armed men kicking in the front door. One of the invaders was under a white sheet in the snow in front of the house.
