Yeah, I hear ya. Arthritis in both knees and it’s started in my right hip area. Never a day without pain somewhere. Good luck with the surgery. I am not there yet.

I’m not there yet either, but Obamacare is pushing me very fast.

I will not qualify for surgery under Obamacare (age and BMI), so I need to get it done now. I need both knees done, and it will be tight to get the 2nd knee done before Obamacare is fully in force (2014).

Aren’t you worried about the pain in your knees causing further damage to your hips? That is what has happened to my 2nd knee — favoring the right knee has caused the left knee to deteriorate. I’ve been suffering with this since 2004. Glucosimine helped for a while, but after my accident on the ice a year ago, I’ve been in constant pain.

So far, my hips are fine.

My hospital of choice is now declining my insurance. Not likely I can get anything done at all. Would have to start anew with a new doctor.

Bummer! Sometimes a new doctor is not a bad thing. I am with a new surgeon (although the old one would have operated.) But, after asking around, I chose a younger man. After I made my choice, 2 people came forward and told me that my original surgeon had messed up their knees and they had to have them done over again! Arrrrrggggghhhh! I can’t think of anything worse!

It is interesting that my first doctor was considered to be quite capable until I chose another. Then, 2 different people came forward to tell me of problems they had with his surgery (the glues came loose). I also found one case against him listed in the Wisconsin Circuit Court on line listings. Nobody will tell you these stories until AFTER you have made another choice. They say they didn’t want to “influence” me.

I hear nothing but good about the man who is going to do my surgery. Does that make me feel better? A little, but I am quite aware of the dangers and everything that can go wrong.

Can you change your insurance? It seems scary to have insurance that is not accepted by your local hospital...

Here's a piece of monomania for you:

N. Korea (nutjobs) is going ICBM nuclear.
Iran (nutjobs) is going nuclear.
Syria (nutjobs) is mowing down hundreds of its own people daily.
Iraq (thanks to the Iranian nutjobs) is quickly on its way to jihad.
King Barry I is GIVING (not selling) high-tech arms/planes to Egypt (nutjobs).

And new Sec of State John F. Kerry give his first major speech on what?.... CLIMATE CHANGE?

Beam me up, Mr. Scott. NOW would be a good time.

A lot of people are, it’s still a shock to many although really not unexpected under the circumstances. Lindy is one of the good guys who’ll be missed — though I wouldn’t be surprised if he still lives around here, like a lot of other former players.

The Sabres play like a totally disinterested team who didn’t want to come back this year, so I’m not sure even the new coach can motivate them. Plus their talent is frankly not that good in comparison to the teams that are perennially in contention.

The Swiss have an interesting monomania -- eliminating wild bears. They killed the last wild bear in Switzerland because it was too friendly. Didn't capture it and put it in a zoo. Didn't transport it to a wilder area. Just shot it dead.

With the Narcissist-in-Chief we have a real trifecta: monomaniac, gimcrack, and wetback.

Nice to see everyone again...

Biden’s latest monomania
Is preaching gun control
He tells us to buy shotguns
And he’s really on a roll

He says if you are threatened
Here is what you should do-
Go outside with a shotgun
And fire off a round or two

That will rouse the neighbors
And make them mad as hell-
They’ll shoot the finger at you
And call the cops as well...

WTF is the matter with them? Bears are wild animals-so where do the Swidiots want them to be-in a yard on a leash? Where is PETA when there is a REAL case of animal cruelty out there?
