After a lifetime of being Republican I am tempted to create the “DINGBAT” party. I think there are now more Dingbats than non-Dingbats in America so they should have their own party. As someone who still has almost fifty percent of a functioning brain I will be able to control them and make them do my bidding, my first move will be to have them elect as president a complete nonentity of unknown origins who will babble incoherently in between rounds of golf while my evil minions will control everything from behind the scenes. I will also make sure that he selects a vice president who thinks FDR was president in 1929 and went on television to address the nation when the market crashed in that year. I will have my Dingbat minions control the news media so that none will point out the obviously absurd incompetence of these clowns.
Of course there must be an “opposition” party so the current GOP will be left in place but it will be necessary to install a leader who will actually have some credibility as an “opposition” leader, the present GOP “leadership” simply don’t act like “opposition” any longer. I am thinking maybe Jim Demint and Rand Paul as the “opposition” ticket in 2016, they will present a credible “opposition” plan but will have no chance of winning against my clowns because well over fifty percent of the voters will be hard-core “DINGBATS” by then.
By the time the final collapse comes I plan to have sucked a trillion or so out of the economy, converted it to gold and silver and set up my own little country on a private island as soon as I find a suitable one for sale. Maybe Japan will become available.
