I borrowed my neighbor’s darling mastiff to hike with me yesterday, since I was going to a destination in the neighborhood that no one goes to any more-a little park in the woods by a now-deserted RV park. The doggie was delighted with the walk-she is a very good on a leash.

Some weird noises and lights have been seen there at night, so I decided that if I was going there alone, it wouldn’t hurt to have about 145 pounds of nightmare hellhound with me. I hadn’t been there for a year or so-a pretty little place, but someone has thrown the tables, benches and trash barrels all around. Juno and I shared my granola bar and water there, and headed back.

I startled Juno’s owner, who had his music cranked up and was jammin while working on his truck. He jumped about three feet when I came up and put her leash in his hand...

Nashville’s Metro animal control had a female husky listed, one year old named Juneau, this weekend. I thought of you when I saw her. She was a beauty.
