With two Supreme Court cases pending that could either reaffirm or remake an institution that forms the bedrock of society, the debate over "same-sex marriage" has come down to political celebrities brandishing clichés. All the world grows stupid.
According to a February 20th report on a local Fox News station, Joe Darger and one of his wives are lobbying the Utah legislature to decriminalize polygamy.
In the Sexual Wonderland America is traversing at breakneck speed, polygamy is the latest thing. Take a law professor, mix with The New York Times opinion page, stir well, and – voila – you have stupidity to infinity, or "One Big, Happy Polygamous Family," by Jonathan Turley in the Times of July 20, 2011.
Turley invokes the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Lawrence v. Texas to justify both homosexual (quote/unquote) marriage and the decriminalization of polygamy.
Responding to a news story on Turley’s pro-polygamy activism, a writer to the Los Angeles Times confesses: "As a gay man, I support gay marriage; no shocker there, but when I thought of my rights and the arguments against them, I had to make sure I was not being a hypocrite."
Subjecting his reasoning to rigorous scrutiny, the writer continues: "Apply this to polygamy, incest and bestiality. What gives anyone the right to regulate the behavior of consenting adults, no matter how icky?"
The foregoing all flow logically from societal embrace of gay rights and marriage mutation. Once a sledgehammer is taken to the foundation, why should any norms stand?

I think that the GOP running the Governor who gave us “gay marriage”, who’s core beliefs were a goal to homosexualize the military and Boy Scouts, was a clue to where the increasingly libertarian GOP leadership is.
The majority of Americans support Obama poll after poll after poll. Despite the complete failure Obama has been, he has won election twice and is at 52% approval in this morning Rasmussen's poll. When asked who they blame for pretty much every ill in the nation, more people blame Republicans than anyone else. Yes, the nation has gone leftist. 40% claim to be conservative in Gallup's polling, but it's quite clear that those identifying as moderate are really on the left. The country has changed.
Romney lost by 5 million votes. The Republicans only won their House majority due to gerrymandering - Democrat candidates actually got over 1 million votes more. We did not lose because of vote fraud. If you want to keep telling yourself that, go ahead. If it will make you feel better, be my guest. But the reality is the left dominates the culture so thoroughly that they are succeeding at yanking the country rapidly leftwards at the moment. We are just a few years behind Greece, Italy, etc. Why do you think conservatives are still not fighting against contraception, porn magazines, etc? Because those fights were lost long ago. And what of things like the homo lobby now? Think there is any chance we will go back to banning gays in the military? No chance of that now. Do you not see that more and more states, even ones that opposed it just 10 years ago, are going to legalize gay marriage? You can't even watch network TV these days without homo characters on nearly every show.
Yes little jeremiah, the country is tacking sharply left and a majority of those that actually turn out at the ballot box are voting that way. Do you really not see that? The reason the "R" party is moving left is because it feels it has to do that to win elections. Political parties are about power, and in our winner take all 2 party system the parties will shift to wherever they feel they need to be to win elections. Do you want to know why the Republicans will probably cave on the sequester? Because the public is going to blame Republicans, not Obama. Know why? Because the public really doesn't want to cut much of anything. We're like Europe now. This is a consequence of having lost the education, media and entertainment establishments to the left. And not just a little either - they have nearly 100% dominance of those things now. Open your eyes.
You have an agenda on FR and it is not the conservative agenda.

Oh stop it. You can't accept reality so you want to live in a fantasy world. That's really it in a nutshell. In order to have any chance of winning these political fights you have to at least be able to see the terrain clearly. The idea that we lost by over 5 million votes because of voter fraud is just stupid. If you don't believe the culture is currently shifting left, you're blind. No political party is going to fix this problem. As long as we continue to surrender nearly 100% of the education, media and entertainment establishment to the left, we'll have very little chance of influencing the greater culture. And if we can't influence the culture, we will have more and more trouble winning elections regularly.

my wife is off today and so she put FOX on thinking I still watching the show when I;m home.
Megyn Kelly was on TV mentioning how the top conservatives have written a letter to the Supreme court asking to allow feces pushing marriage.
She brought on the communications director under Bush who was pone of those supposed top conservatives.
This woman told us how the republican party has to evolve, it;s about freedom and how conservatives think marriage is important
Talk about me shouting at the ditz Kelly, she was pushing the homo crap, no pun intended, her and her supposed guest who was or is supposed a top conservative.
No other argument, how no one mentioning how every argument, freedom, love each other, about love, evolve, can be used for any kind of so called marraige, 4 wives, states rights, people voting, marry a sister, etc.
And for those liberal libertarian nuts which always state how Govt should not be in marraige, well they are, who gets the kids, who gets payments, who gets the dog fro crying out loud.
And who th ehell do these few so called top conservatives think they are, telling us what we should think and want, that we have to change our morals, to allow children to be abused, to be hurt, to be confused who do they think they are to write a letter tot he courts urging and trying to influence the judges decision.

Every time I hear an arguemnt for homosexual marriage I bring up other kinds of marriage and 99% of the time those people are opposed to other marriages.
These people are ignorant and only want what they want or what their homosexual pals want, so much so that some give up their views and morals and let children be raised in these kind of homes
