What does Hollywood have against the British? Once again on Oscar night, Tinsel Town gave warmly with one hand while cynically taking away with the other.
The good news is that at least nine Britons will fly back across the Atlantic with coveted golden statues.
But the bad news is that Argo the movie that won Best Film is yet another piece of Hollywoods Brit-bashing junk history that casts the British in a poor light.

Hollywood hates all that are superior to them.
Which is why they hate all.
So do we side with arrogant, ignorant, self-important Hollywood or do we side with the knee-jerk anti-American British, who love portraying any American outside of New York or LA as an ignorant, inbred, shoot-first-and-ask-questions-later, Bible-zealot yahoo? I don’t think I have a dog in this fight, other than wishing that they kill each other.
I think your letting that fat head Piers Morgan pollute your opinion of the British. I know a good many Brits who live both here and in the UK and to a man they’re good people with high opinions of what this country once was. Some of them still think of America as a great country. I tell that’s a quaint idea but the death of our greatness is proved every time obama shows his face on TV.
The guy needs to relax a little. It’s one line, and nobody in the theater when I saw the movie yelled anything. Yes a lot of the details are missing, it’s only a two hour movie, what do people expect. If they want the details they should read one of the many many books on the event.
Who cares. I am sick of this “poor me” attitude not only coming from indivduals, groups and now countries. Really are we this weak as a society to worry about what others think. We are getting really bad off. Conservatives are on the pity ride now....getting scary!!!
May just be me, but I get annoyed when they go out of their way to bash the Shah. I suppose they have to, to distract attention from Carter’s role in overthrowing him and replacing him with the Ayatollah.
Carter. The gift that keeps on giving.
Iran was once a relatively civilized country.
